A Guide to the Perfect Hen Party

Tips and Ideas to Surprise Your Friends, But Especially the Bride

A hen party is a party held in honor of a woman who is about to get married, in the days immediately preceding the wedding, during which her last days as a single woman are symbolically celebrated.
This tradition was born with the sexual revolution of '68, but already in the 19th century the scions of English high society were celebrating stag parties.
The bachelorette party is one of the very first celebrations that kick off the official countdown to the wedding, a sweet break from the important, and above all stressful, commitments of organizing a fairytale wedding.

So... why not celebrate it with your friends???

Here are 10 essential rules for TEAM BRIDE to organize a perfect and stress-free hen party (ps: Read the entire article to discover our most valuable tips, the last rule is the most important):

1) Plan the bachelorette party according to the bride's tastes , avoiding vulgar or unwelcome choices. Carefully consider whether a "party boy" would be welcome. The party should reflect the bride's personality and make her happy. The bachelorette party should be organized by the bride's friends, usually the bridesmaid, or by the wedding planner, if applicable.

2) Plan your bachelorette party at least a week before the wedding , so you can get to the big day well-rested after the festivities. We recommend starting the conversation about the party at least 4-5 months before the wedding date, so you have everything under control.

3) Make sure all your friends are available for the bachelorette party, but above all, make sure the bride has a day off . The bride already has a lot of commitments during this time, so let's try to make everything as easy and simple as possible. The bachelorette party should be a celebration, not just another day of stress.

4) Establish an initial budget before organizing everything. The total cost of the bachelorette party must be borne by the guests; each will pay their share, and the bride will also split the cost among the guests. Typically, the cost per person is around €100, but it's possible to budget for as little as €50. It depends on what you want to organize.

5) Invite the bride's bridesmaids and close friends , co-workers, and college friends to the celebration. Make the bachelorette party a special occasion with the most important people in the bride's life.

6) Organize fun themed games for the bride to play during the evening. You could try the bachelorette party trivia game, a treasure hunt, a surprise box game, or even a wedding-themed taboo or pictionary game. Choose from the most popular games and pranks to make the evening even more memorable. If you want to be a little more adventurous, you could even organize a striptease show, a fun and retro idea.

7) Set aside a portion of your budget for a small gift to leave for the bride at the end of the evening. Team Bride could arrange for a set of lingerie for her wedding night, or you could opt for our lovely lingerie set with a personalized robe to use during the pre-dressing photoshoot.

8) Choose your bachelorette party location carefully. The choice depends largely on the time of year you decide to celebrate. We recommend a day at the beach at a beautiful beach club, or a relaxing spa day. For the party-loving ones, we suggest a dinner with a show at a charming venue. If your budget allows, you could even plan a trip abroad for an unforgettable bachelorette party!

9) Take care of the details. Decorate the venue with streamers, balloons, and other elements that reflect the bachelorette party theme. You can create a dress code for all guests, for example, requiring them to wear a particular accessory or a specific color. Be sure to have a photographer to capture the funniest moments of the evening.

10) The last rule , and the most IMPORTANT, is the choice of gadgets . As I already wrote at the beginning, the organization of the hen party is managed by the TEAM BRIDE , who must have their own real uniform. We recommend our TEAM BRIDE T-shirts , while we'll take care of the bride's T-shirt ;), to be completed with our marabout feather pins , heart-shaped sunglasses , or a personalized bag . In short, gadgets are a must!

Finally, remember that the main goal of the bachelorette party is to make the bride have fun and feel special. Be there for her, listen to her, and create a festive and cheerful atmosphere. This is an opportunity to pay tribute to the bride and celebrate love and friendship.
We hope these ideas and tips help you plan an unforgettable bachelorette party for your bride-to-be. Remember to customize the party to the bride's tastes and ensure it's a joyful and fun time for everyone. Happy planning and have fun!

At this point, all that's left for us to do is wish you a fantastic day filled with carefree fun, and don't forget to send our best wishes to the bride, too!
