It all started with a simple yet meaningful gesture: a mother who wanted to create something unique for her daughter . Muriel, founder of the ANABAUM brand, set to work crocheting a sweater for Elisa. The result? Not exactly what she expected... but the first ANABAUM handmade bag was born 👜 : colorful, creative, and different. And that's where it all began.
With the support of Elisa and her friend Julia, an artistic designer , the idea has transformed into a real project. An ethical and sustainable fashion brand, born with love, grown with passion, and guided by a clear vision: to create beauty with respect, inside and out 💫.
But the name? It also has a story. ANABAUM takes inspiration from a documentary on the life of Kalahari elephants . In the middle of the desert, elephants find solace in the late-ripening fruits of the Anabaum trees 🌳 . Precious fruits, like the ideas that come later in life (Muriel started the brand at 50!). And here the magic of nature comes into play: the monkeys, who live in the trees, throw the fruits to the elephants. In return, the elephants keep predators away. It's a story of cooperation and mutual trust . Just like the one that inspires ANABAUM every day.
